The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires Connecting with Community series presents "Core Stability, Flexible Feet, and Balance" with Carol Bennett. Good postural stability is the basis for comfortable, pain free movement. Each part is meant to move within a particular range. We will begin with chair work to strengthen deep abdominals, hip stabilizers and scapular muscles. Using the chair as support, we will prepare for static and dynamic balance.
Carol has studied in London at the City Literary Institute with Marjorie Seegley and Expressionist Dance and Eurythmy with Gusti Kupelweiser in Salzburg. She performed at Harvard Experimental Theater and taught movement at Cambridge Center for adult education, Intersection Church in San Francisco, and Live Oak Theater in CA. In 2006, she became certified in the Feldenkrais. In 2012, at age 70, she received a Bachelor of Science in pre PT/Kinesiology from Sacramento State University.
This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher
hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations
are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
