11am TALK - David Mazower: “The Lodz Masterpieces: 3 Jewish Women’s Art Books Revealed”
Yiddish Book Center Bibliographer David Mazower reveals the story behind three exquisite limited-edition art books. Published in Lodz in 1921, they were hand-colored by Ida Broyner, Ester Karp and Dina Matus - a trio of young Jewish women artists fresh out of art school and today all but unknown.

New York Belarusian Jewish roots/HIP/acoustic punk klezmer
The Litvakus repertoire is a mix of traditional Belarusian and Litvak (Belarusian Jewish) folk music, as well as contemporary pieces written in the spirit of roots music.
