The Leadership Retreat will incorporate programs to include: leadership training; communication skills; Hadassah educational programs; a Shabbat experience with Torah study and Havdallah; heart health information; exercise to include sessions with water aerobics, hiking, and yoga; a craft activity; singing and storytelling. Accommodations and Parve/dairy meals will be provided by Cranwell Resort & Spa, Lenox, MA, Nov. 15-17, 2013. Presenters/speakers include: former Hadassah National President, Nancy Falchuk; National Hadassah Leadership Development Chair, Hanna Pollack; Heart Health educator, Valerie Lowenstein; Spiritual Leader and Scholar in Residence, Jamie Kotler. It is the mission of the these Retreats to accomplish the following goals: to bring Hadassah women together to share experiences and create friendships; to enhance practical leadership skills and encourage personal growth; to expand an awareness of our Jewish heritage; to increase Hadassah knowledge and commitment; to inspire, enrich and renew. These retreats will ensure a legacy of highly skilled, knowledgeable and committed leaders, dedicated to nourishing Jewish ideas and awareness, and spreading the seeds of peace and healing in Israel and in the U.S. while exemplifying Hadassah's vision and values. The retreat will contain the following components - Leadership, Hadassah update, Zionism and Personal Growth. Women of all ages are encouraged to attend who wish to take an active role in their chapter and/or region and in their Jewish community. Participants are expected to participate in all aspects of the retreat and increase their involvement with Hadassah. Cost per person $436 (double occumancy), $100 reduction for locals attending entire event but not sleeping at Cranwell; $50 surcharge for participants outside of Hadassah Northeast; Single occupancy - $638; Triple occupancy - $390. Partial subvention of registration fee may be available through the region and/or the chapter and if approved, would be reimbursed after the Retreat.
