We invite the community to celebrate Tu b’Shevat, the New Year of the Trees.
The evening will begin with Shabbat Shira, the Sabbath of Song, and a family-friendly Friday evening service full of music. We will continue with a celebration of the holiday of Tu b’Shevat, the New Year of the Trees, by exploring the enduring connections between Judaism and nature. The service will feature both adult and student leaders of the Temple Anshe Anumim community.
A dairy dinner will be served following the service, featuring those fruits that are symbolically linked to Tu b’Shevat. There is a $5 per person charge for the dinner, with a maximum charge of $20 per family.
Reservations are required for dinner. Please contact the Temple Office by January 18, 2016.
This event is open to all members of the Jewish community and the community at large who would like to experience a service celebrating the New Year of Trees. Temple Anshe Amunim is a Reform Jewish congregation that promotes engaging and widespread participation in services, education, and social action programs.
