The Race to Save Sephardi Jewish Heritage in the Middle East and North Africa
From synagogues on the edge of the Sahara to Jewish fortresses in Arabia, Jason Guberman, Executive Director of the American Sephardi Federation, shares the behind-the-scenes story of how a diverse international team of volunteers is racing against time to document the sites and memories of the last generation who remember Sephardic Jewish life in the middle East and North Africa.
The American Sephardi Federation (ASF) proudly preserves and promotes the history, traditions, and rich mosaic culture of Greater Sephardic communities as an integral part of the Jewish experience.
Program only is free. $11 includes lunch following program. Advanced prepaid lunch reservations are required by Thursday, August 8 before noon by calling 413-442-4360, ext. 10 or federation@jewishberkshires.org
