We well know that race relations continues to be a critical national conversation. The Religious Action Center, on behalf of the Reform Jewish movement, continues to advocate for civil rights and greater structural equality. We as a community can also do much to take part in our movement's work. This begins with educating ourselves.

Bryan Stevenson is the founding director of the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, Alabama. His best-selling memoir, Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption, raises provoking questions around racial and structural injustice as they currently exist in our criminal justice system. Rabbi Neil P.G. Hirsch will lead two conversations to accommodate all those who wish to participate. The lunchtime session will start at 11:30, please bring your own lunch. The evening session will be hosted in the home of a congregant, and will include light snacks. Please RSVP to Rabbi Hirsch at nhirsch@hevreh.org and let him know which session you will be attending, exact times and directions will be given.
