The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires' Connecting with Community presents "In Every Generation: Seeing Ourselves in the Haggadah" with Rabbi Neil Hirsch of Hevreh of Southern Berkshire.

In our Haggadah, we read a teaching from the Rabbis that "in every generation, we are obligated to see ourselves as if we, personally, were redeemed from Egypt."  In this learning session, we'll explore that significant rabbinic passage to understand what the Rabbis meant when they said it, and to see how we continue to live it out at our own seder tables.  We will explore different commentaries and traditions around the seder to better understand the perspective of the Rabbis and to help us shape our own.

This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
