The cofounder and artistic director of New York’s Symphony Space and the resonant voice of public radio’s Selected Shorts, Isaiah Sheffer was an actor, director, radio announcer, playwright, lyricist, singer, mentor, cultural entrepreneur, creative thinker, loyal friend, champion of those he worked with, dreamer, and impresario. This portrait of a beloved figure in the arts community includes interviews with Morgan Freeman, Stephen Colbert, Leonard Nimoy, and others.
Director Catherine Tambini and Isaiah’s wife and daughter, Ethel and Susannah Sheffer, will be on hand to introduce the film and take questions from the audience.
