The Jewish Federation Connecting with Community presents "Feng Shui for the New Year."
Join Wahida Janice Young, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a practitioner in the Chinese art of T'ai Chi, as well as an instructor in Feng Shui for over 10 years. Learn about some of the main principles of Feng Shui and specific tools you can use to clear your space and focus on things to do right away to delight your spirit.
Young will bring objects as examples of tools in making adjustments to space and talk about the underlying power of breath, meditation, and visualization, ritual and space clearing.
"Feng Shui combines beautifully to enrich life and supports and strengthens our lives," says Wahida Young.
This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
