The Joan A. Backman Memorial Concert
For more than thirty-five years, the Klezmer Conservatory Band has been the preeminent group of the klezmer revival. Led by multi-instrumentalist and scholar Hankus Netsky, the group entertains with classic tunes from the Yiddish theater repertoire as well as Yiddish swing and Hasidic tunes. The KCB is joined by special guest vocalists Eleanor Reissa and Lorin Sklamberg, as well as founding member Frank London.
Made possible by Irving and Charlotte Backman, in loving memory of their daughter, Joan A. Backman.
