In Tsvey Brider, Yiddish vocalist Anthony Mordechai Tzvi Russell and pianist/accordionist Dmitri Gaskin explore diverse idioms and styles to create contemporary and idiosyncratic new music set to the works of some of the greatest poets in the Yiddish language, as well as performing unique interpretations of classic Yiddish songs. Recent winners of the Concorso Internacional de Canciones en Idish (Der Idisher Idol), the members of Tsvey Brider have performed and recorded with such noted artists as Daniel Kahn, Michael Winograd, Michael Alpert, Alan Bern, Yale Strom & Hot Pstromi, and Veretski Pass.
