The Jewish Federation Connecting with Community program presents "A Different Concept of G-d" with Michel Paul Richard, PhD.
It is apparent that many people today are turned off by the idea of G-d as a Supreme Being in Judaism, Christianity and Islam. At the same time, they are uncomfortable with the labels "agnostic" or "atheist." Richard's lecture is designed for them. What happens when we apply this alternative definition of G-d to the concept of Heaven and Hell, the problem of evil, and the efficacy of prayer? The answers may surprise you.
This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
