Between 1880 and 1920 2 million Jews left their homes in Europe for urban America. This created the image of the Jew solely as an urbanite. However, there was an effort to return to the soil and the Jewish colony of Clarion, Utah was one attempt to revive an agrarian life. In 1911, 81 families left Eastern cities to farm in Clarion. Come learn more about this fascinating time in Jewish American history.
