Jewish Federation of the Berkshires prioritizes the health, safety, and well-being of our community and employees. In order to provide a safe and comfortable environment we continue to evaluate and adjust our policies in accordance with CDC, state, and local guidance.

We ask that you use your best judgment regarding COVID-19 precautions and event attendance.  Please stay home if:

  • You are sick.
  • You tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 10 days.
  • Someone in your household has tested positive within the past 5 days.
  • You are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (such as fever, a sore throat, chills, cough, shortness of breath, congestion, nausea, or vomiting).

Federation has ended the requirement for proof of vaccination and booster. Though not required, vaccination is strongly encouraged.

If you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days, please wear a well-fitting mask throughout the event. Otherwise, masking at our events is optional.

CDC defines “close contact” with someone who has COVID-19 as being within 6 feet of that person (with or without a mask) for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period. (For example, three individual 5-minute exposures for a total of 15 minutes).

We are happy to provide attendees to our programs with disposable masks upon arrival. Hand sanitizer is readily available.

Jewish Federation of the Berkshires will continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation in our community and will adjust our policies accordingly. Current policies will be posted on our  website.

If you have additional questions, please email us at and we will be happy to help you.
