More Yiddish fiction by women has been translated and published in the past twenty years than in the century before. Among the questions to be addressed in this talk by Anita Norich, Professor Emerita of English Language and Literature and Judaic Studies at the University of Michigan include: Why is this happening? What did women write about? Why have they been ignored until fairly recently? These questions will be addressed by several recent translations.
Learn with Dr. Norich about this amazing “literature that has been hiding in plain sight, but we all assumed wasn’t there.”
