The Jewish Federation Connecting with Community program presents "Living in a Time of Climate Change: Responding to the Crisis." Presenters will engage with the audience about the climate crisis to share concerns and questions as well as information about some options for engagement in our area.

Recent findings about the climate crisis will be discussed to better understand the various ways it will increasingly impact life on earth.  We will discuss some local efforts to encourage a broader public response, that is to press our leaders to actively address this global emergency.

Presenters are all climate activists who include Stu Besnoff, BS and Master of Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Judy Eddy who has worked primarily in land conservation and environmental protection, and Pat Konecky whose work has focused on energy efficiency.

This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
