Hear from Israeli, Palestinian and American teens and learn how Music in Common and Artsbridge, two local non-profits, are using the arts to bring people in conflict together. These two organizations will be working collaboratively with visiting teens at Artsbridge's Summer Leadership Program in Williamstown.
This residential program for up to 30 Israeli, Palestinian, and American teens focuses on various opportunities for teens to engage through a combination of reflective dialogue, artistic expression, and expressive therapy to empower youth. Their model of dialogue teaches teens how to truly listen to each other and to ask questions out of curiosity and interest.
Through expressive therapy, Artsbridge works to provide healing and understanding for the difficulties that participants experience in their daily lives. The art component teaches participants how to work together, think creatively, and communicate constructively. The program concludes with a banquet and showcase of the participants’ projects on July 30 & 31 at the Buxton School.
Advanced lunch reservations required by Thursday, July 28 before noon by calling 413-442-4360, ext. 10 or jfb.officemanager@verizon.net
