The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires' Connecting with Community series will host Avi Dresner, celebrity personal trainer, fitness consultant, "Spread the Wellth" columnist, and radio host of Well Talk. Dresner will talk about "Where Organic Beets Meet the Borscht Belt: A Regional Health, Fitness, and Wellness Talk Show Host Shares Stories from his Life in Radio Today."
On well talk, Dresner interviews health, fitness and wellness professionals, from doctors and scientists to yoga instructors, massage therapists, nutritionists, professional athletes, and performing artists. Past shows have covered topics ranging from Alzheimer's research to unicycling, and everything in between.
Dresner earned his BA from Cornell University, and Master's from City College of NY. He also served as an 81mm mortar specialist in the Israel Defense Force where he got his first radio experience - and quite a workout - carrying a 50 pound portable radio on his back.
