The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires presents "Lillian Roth: My Cousin the Movie Star" with historian/teacher David Rutstein.
Lillian Roth was born Lillian Rutstein in Boston in 1910. Her grandfather and David Rutstein's great-grandfather were brothers. In 1930, at the age of 19, Lillian was a leading player in support roles in six movies. She was featured with the Marx Brothers in Animal Crackers and also in C.B. DeMille's Madam Satan. Using family memories, her autobiography I'll Cry Tomorrow, interviews, and Paramount Studio publicity photos, David Rutstein will discuss her acting and singing career along with her troubled personal life.
