The Jewish Federation Connecting with Community presents a two day workshop to explore writing memoirs and family histories.

Have you ever thought about writing on these subjects, but do not know how to get started?  Do you need a seasoned, professional memoir author to introduce and guide you through this process and the initial stages?  Come and work with Kitty Axelson-Berry, of Modern Memoirs Publishing, Inc., a writing, editing and publishing service specializing in memoirs and family histories that she founded in 1994.

Kitty will take workshop attendees through the process of writing their own memoir along with discussions, sharing books that she published and exercises to assist you in beginning this process.  Everyone has a story to share and write.

This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
