Continuing for the popular fall series, this series will explore the weekly Torah portion through the lens of Mussar. The Mussar tradition emphasizes the refinement one's personal attributes and the development of spiritual qualities such as humility, patience, gratitude, equanimity and others. Each week we will explore the Torah portion from the vantage point of a particular quality and will learn spiritual exercises for developing these aspects more fully in our lives. These classes are inspired by the creative work of Rabbis Pamela Wax and Mark Margolius through the Institute for Jewish Spirituality. All classes taught by Rabba Kaya Stern-Kaufman. Classes can be attended on a drop-in basis. All are welcome!
