The Jewish Federation Connecting with Community presents "The Unexpected Adventures of America's PJ Library® Book-Gifting Program."

The PJ Library program in Israel provides free books, in Hebrew and Arabic, to more than 500,000 children and their families each year.  Galina Vromen, Executive Director of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation's operations in Israel, will chart the story of Sifriyat Pijama (Hebrew for Pajama Library) and Maktabat al-Fanoos (Arabic for Lantern Library) highlighting the impact and challenges of the program among Jewish and Arab families in Israel's complex society.

This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
