The Jewish Federation Connecting with Community program welcomes Maggie Bittman, therapist, as she leads and facilitates a group discussion about "The Process of Aging."

These discussions are opened to anyone interested in sharing in this universal topic.  Discussions broadly range from "Should I Remain in My Home or Downsize" to "Aloneness" to "Staying Active in Your Community".  Suggestions for topics are welcomed.

Bittman says, "Aging begins at birth.  As we age, exist and live our lives, we are confronted with 4 existential truths: we search to find meaning and purpose; face mortality; we experience aloneness; and engage our free will.  This is a lifelong process.  At each stage, we return to these truths and with the wisdom that comes with aging."

This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
