The Middle East Update 2018 with Ralph Nurnberger

What forces are shaping today's Middle East?  Professor of International Relations and Government Affairs Specialist, Dr. Ralph Nurnberger, will take you beyond the headlines on a journey through this most dangerous of global neighborhoods to better understnad the multi-dimensional, multi-faceted players of the Middle East today.

Ralph Nurnberger has held senior positions in both the legislative and executive branch of government, as well as serving as the director of a major international economic initiative that was created with the backing of the U.S. government to promote development in the Middle East.

Dr. Nurnberger was the first Executive Director of “Builders for Peace”, which was established in 1993 with the support of Vice President Al Gore to assist the Middle East peace process through economic development in the region. The organization raised funds and coordinated business activities to support a wide range of projects including hotel construction and real estate development; water and energy; infrastructure; and manufacturing facilities.

Dr. Nurnberger was a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and has taught graduate level courses on Congress and international affairs at Georgetown University since 1975. He is an acclaimed lecturer who has spoken nationally and internationally as well as on many television and radio appearances.  He has worked in the field of government relations since 1981, representing a broad range of clients including foreign governments and entities, international universities, high technology firms, and Fortune 100 companies.

Dr. Nurnberger holds a Ph.D. from Georgetown University, an M.A. from Columbia University and a B.A. from Queens College.
