In accord with the Jewish concept of humanity’s stewardship of the environment, the TAA Social Action Committee invites you to participate in a discussion of the perils of global warming. We are sponsoring the showing of "Groundswell Rising", a film about the environmental impact of fracking, distributed by 350.org. 350.org is a grassroots organization started by Bill McKibben to bring science and social justice into conversations about climate and to increase awareness of climate change.
Before the showing of the film, Rabbi Josh Breindel will give a presentation on the Jewish imperative to care for the environment. Members of 350.org will lead a discussion after the presentation of the film.
This free event will be open to the general public. Light refreshments will be served.
