Join us for an in-depth tour revealing unseen places and untold stories. Renee Rotta, soprano singer and Tanglewood Marketing Coordinator for the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Gabriel Kosakoff, aka ” Mr. Tanglewood," who has been leading tours of Tanglewood for the past 18 summers, will lead this special Jewish Federation of the Berkshires tour together.
They will take us through the formal gardens and share with us the significance of the design and the importance of its placement. We will continue on to the Tappan Estate and Highwood Manor as we tour the rooms and learn about these places steeped in Berkshire history that sit prominently on Tanglewood’s grounds. We will learn about the statues of Aaron Copeland and Leonard Bernstein that were commissioned by American composer, conductor and pianist John Williams and unravel some of the history about Tanglewood in discovering all of these precious details. Other special surprises will be included in this tour, yet to be disclosed.
Renee and Gabriel will speak about the 2017 Tanglewood season and concert tickets will be raffled off that morning as well.
Program is free. We will meet at the Tanglewood parking lot near the front gate, rain or shine. No reservations required. You may choose to bring a bagged lunch to eat at noon on the Tanglewood premises.
