The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires Connecting with Community presents "Small Steps to a Healthier You" as a collaboration with Berkshire Health Systems.
This 5 session program, led by Katie Mead, BSN, RN, health educator in community outreach, will begin on February 25 with glucose and cholesterol screening for those who have not had blood work done in the last 6 months. The remaining Thursdays will assist participants with making healthy changes in their lives. Topics include how to eat better, move more, cultivate a sense of purpose, set reachable goals, and how to reduce stress. These are small steps that will lead to big changes.
This program is limited in number of participants. To register, please call the Care Coordinating Hub with Berkshire Health systems at 413-445-9232.
This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
