On Sunday, May 4, the group will climb Harvey Mountain & Pinnacle Point in Austerlitz, NY. This moderate 4.3 mile hike climbs about 925’ in 2-2.5 hours. Harvey Mountain State Forest abuts the state line in the hills just south of I-90. This trail begins with a quick 600’ climb to the summit and its spectacular views, then continues along the ridge, and ends with a gradual descent back to the trailhead. Leashed dogs are welcome. This is an especially enjoyable hike before the leaves come in. Participants should register in advance at knessetisrael.org/rsvp. Plan to meet at KI at 10AM to carpool to the trailhead.
