For over 40 years, Argentinian maestros César Lerner and Marcello Moguilevsky have been creating their unique musical fusion of klezmer, tango, jazz, and South American folk music. The duo has performed in concert halls and at music festivals across the globe.
The Williams College Jewish Student Center and Jewish Federation of the Berkshires invite you to savor this special musical Kabbalat Shabbat with our guest artists. Followed by a student-prepared dinner.
César Lerner is an Argentinian composer, pianist, accordion player and percussionist. He has composed the music to some of the most successful films in Argentina. He also directs ‘Drum Circle’, a platform for inclusion through music in areas of social care and education.
Marcelo Moguilevsky is a multi-instrumentalist (clarinet, bass clarinet, soprano sax, recorder, harmonica and piano); composer and teacher. Since 2011, he has been Director of the Music Department of the National Fund and Professor of Musical Language in Fine Arts of the UNLP (Universidad Nacional de la Plata).
The service will begin at 6 pm. Optional dinner will begin after, approximately 7:00 pm.
Services are free; $20 donation for meal.
