Meet Me at the Intersection of Trans and Jewish Identity
Professor Joy Ladin, the first and still only openly transgender employee of an Orthodox Jewish institution, will explore the intersections and collisions of trans and Jewish identity through her personal experience and her work on theorizing trans identities in relation to religious traditions. Professor Ladin will give a reading from her memoir and two recently published poetry collections, followed by a lecture on her forthcoming book on reading God and Torah from a transgender perspective.
