The Jewish Federation Connecting with Community presents Managing Stress and Your Health. How does stress affect your health and cognitive functioning? How does food affect stress? What can you do to manage your stress successfully?
Thea Basis, a Certified Senior Fitness Specialist and Orthopedic Exercise Specialist will discuss these questions, and offer a few easy steps to address better stress management. This program will include brief exercises proven to reduce short term and chronic stress.
Thea Basis earned an ACE Group Fitness Instructor Certification and is a Certified Senior Fitness specialist as well as an Orthopedic Exercise Specialist serving groups and individuals in promoting healthy, independent lifestyles, while addressing the unique challenges of aging.
This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch.
