Special Jewish Food Series Lunch Program with Local Chefs, Authors, Food Writers

Telling the story of family-run agriculture through the language of food, The Berkshires Farm Table Cookbook offers 125 recipes to recall the magic of the Berkshire region.  What makes this cookbook truly special is its celebration of the farmers, cheesemakers, chefs, and restaurant-owners behind the recipes, as much as the food itself.

Elisa Spungen Bildner is a former lawyer, journalist, and CEO of a perishable food manufacturing company, and is a professionally trained chef. Robert Bildner is a former lawyer who grew up in a food family and went on to found several companies that helped local farmers bring products to market. He photographed the farms and restaurants in this book. Elisa and Rob have lived in the Berkshires for 35 years.

Join us for a home-cooked lunch around our community table where Elisa and Rob will discuss the creation of their Berkshire based cookbook and we will enjoy one of its special recipes in preparation for Rosh Hashanah.

All are welcome!  Advance lunch reservations are required and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.  Lunch is free for adults over 60 years of age.  A suggested donation of $3 is welcomed.   $7 for all others.
