"Cultivating Resilience and Joy in Difficult Times” with Rabbi Ayelet Cohen
Rabbi Ayelet Cohen, Pearl Resnick Dean of The Rabbinical School and Dean of the Division of Religious Leadership at JTS, will present the first of two JTS in the Berkshires lectures/conversations on "Cultivating Resilience and Joy in Difficult Times.” Constant exposure to bad news, communal and family divisions, and fear can take a spiritual toll. Rabbi Cohen will share classical Jewish texts that can help us navigate the turbulence of our reality, reawaken joy, and help us build practices to strengthen us and our communities.
Every summer, Congregation Knesset Israel partners with The Jewish Theological Seminary of America to bring in top-notch scholars for scintillating lectures and discussion. The second of these presentations will take place on August 7 with Dr. Shira Billet on the ethics of AI. The fee is $25 for one presentation, $40 for both. Pre-registration is highly encouraged at https://inspired.jtsa.edu/event/jts-in-the-berkshires-2026/e784391
Note that these events take place at the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre at Shakespeare and Company in Lenox.
Co-sponsored by Jewish Federation of the Berkshires with additional funding from the Harold Grinspoon Foundation.
