The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires' Connecting with Community series will be joined by radio travel talk show host, Stephanie Abrams, for "Conspiracies, Rumors and Loves in a Jewish Community." Abrams is recognized as an expert in the travel industry and has been named to "Travel Agent Magazine's list of the "100 Most Powerful Women in Travel."
Abrams will share insights into the characters and their stories; how her first novel, RUMORS, is constructed and how Jewish community life plays a key role in the unfolding of the story. Questions about RUMORS, its characters and the writing process are welcomed. Insights into Abrams soon-to-be published first travel guide, "1001 Reasons to Visit Ireland" will be shared with particular focus on the unique Jewish-Irish-Israeli connection and a scoop on "SECRET," the next novel in the series.
Abrams hopes that many in attendance will have read RUMORS before the event so that meaningful questions about characters and storyline can take place. She is delighted to sign books at the event.
This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
