The Jewish Federation Connecting with Community program welcomes PhD clinical psychologist, Sigmund Tobias, as he describes the rules about sexual relations established by Halachah, the collective body of Jewish religious laws derived from the written and oral Torah. Some of the reason for these laws will be discussed as will the degree to which they are adhered to.  Finally, a naturalistic interpretation for these rules will be considered.

Sigmund Tobias and his family survived the Holocaust by fleeing to Shanghai where he studied in the Mirrer Yeshiva which also ended up in China.

This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others.
