The Jewish Federation Connecting with Community welcomes Jason E. Larrier, former foster parent, LSW and Families Resource Recruiter with the MA Dept of Children and Families. Jason will address on-going efforts to place children with families in the communities where they live to support and maintain important connections to schools and friends during challenging and significant times.
Today, approximately 7000 children in MA live with foster families. Join us to learn about this too little known sector of our communities and how the expansion of its foster parents network in every city and town across the state is of critical importance.
This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
