The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires presents "Language and Translation Services" with Veronica Torres Martin, manager of language services at Berkshire Medical Center, with Artem Zeygerman, a Ukrainian-born Russian speaking trained medical interpreter and Russian language LinkLine navigator at BMC. Artem and his family arrived in the US with the help of Jewish Federation of the Berkshires in 1998. The BMC program meets the needs of Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients. Veronica,born in Germany and raised in Algeria, moved to her family's native Chile at age 7. She studied translation and interpreting at Marlboro College in Vermont and graduated form Smith College in 2006. She began work at BMC in 2003. Cost $3.
