The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires' Connecting with Community series will be joined by Sue Gurland, a retired acupuncturist, t'ai chi teacher, master teacher, and spiritual director for "Moving Through the Tree of Life: Where T'ai Chi meets Kabbalah."
Gurland created "Moving Through the Tree of Life" for students to connect to the divine through their bodies in a Jewish context. She draws upon her lifelong experiences to integrate authentic Jewish practices with contemplative movement, meditation and visualization. The resulting exercises promote energetic aliveness, relaxation, and a deep spiritual connection to the source of all being.
This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
