Join Rabbi Pam Wax at Knesset Israel on Monday evening, April 20, at 7:00 PM as she reads from her latest poetry collection, "Every Single Beast of My Heart," followed by Q and A.
The collection, published by Sheila-Na-Gig Editions in March, weaves poems on aging, mortality, myth, and folklore into a meditation on impermanence. The narrator’s loss of her brother to suicide, her role as a rabbi, and her deep relationship to the natural world all influence the engaged, spiritual, and feminist world-view of the collection.
Wax’s poems, published in over 60 literary journals, have received three Best of the Net nominations and several poetry awards. She has published two previous collections: "Walking the Labyrinth" (Main Street Rag, 2022) and "Starter Mothers" (Finishing Line Press, 2023).
Copies of "Every Single Beast of My Heart" will be available for sale and book-signing. Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to knessetisrael.org/rsvp.
