A Summer Celebration of Jewish Music: “Connectivity Between Cultures”
Cantor Robert Scherr sings “The Lonely Child’ (Dos Eltne Kind), composed in the Vilna Ghetto, and “The House I Live In,” a plea for religious tolerance in America, made famous by Paul Robeson and Frank Sinatra. Williams College Artists-in Residence Ronald Feldman and Doris Stevenson join Smith College Professor Joel Pitchon, and “Summer Celebration” co-directors Paul Green and Robert Scherr in this exciting performance.
Tickets are $25 per person at the door.
Co-sponsored by A Summer Celebration of Jewish Music, the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires, the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, and Hevreh of Southern Berkshire.
