Celebrate Yom Ha'atzmaut-Israel Independence Day-with visiting Israeli chefs

The community is invited to celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israeli Independence Day, with cooking demos, Israeli music and tastes of delicious Israeli specialties prepared by visiting Israeli chefs Tamar Salemeh Digmi and Israel Noah Odles with assistance from Chef Michele Gazit, owner of the Gateways Inn in Lenox.

This special celebration, which kicks off the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires new partnership with the Afula-Gilboa region of Israel will take place at the Gateways Inn, 51 Walker Street  in Lenox, MA.

This event is free and open to the public.

Israel's signature bread served with Michele's homemade labnah (popular Middle Eastern cheese)

Grilled eggplant served with fresh herbs salad with tahini sauce

Feta cheese and Za'atar Stuffed mushroom served on a cream Za'atar pesto sauce
