Celebrate Simchat Torah with a family-friendly service. This event is open to the public with a dinner to follow.
Participants of all ages will lend their talents to the service, which will include music and readings. Simchat Torah celebrates our reaching the end of the annual Torah-reading cycle. There will be joyous dancing with the Torah scrolls around the sanctuary. The highlight of the service is a reading from the last Torah portion, after which the congregation will unroll the entire scroll around the periphery of the newly-refurbished sanctuary. Rabbi Josh Breindel will point out interesting features from the text, then re-roll the scroll and read from the beginning portion in Genesis. The service will include a consecration for new Religious School students and blessings for learners of all ages as we begin the new academic year.
All are invited to join us in our recently-renovated and fully-accessible facility.
Those wishing to attend the dinner are asked to R.S.V.P. to the Temple office by October 1.
