The Jewish Federation Connecting with Community presents "A Mystic's Guide to Prayer" with Rabbi Seth Wax, Jewish Chaplain at Williams College.
Rabbi Wax will explore the Jewish prayer book. This resource we use in services, is for the Jewish mystics, a handbook for unlocking the inner mysteries of the universe to help us to see the world and ourselves with a deeper consciousness. Most of us have never been exposed to this radical way of experiencing prayer.
In this session, we'll explore one mystic's instructions for the traditional prayer for the body and learn the deep connections between ourselves and God.
This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
