When it launched in 1952, MAD Magazine expressed a fresh and arguably deeply Jewish political and cultural critique – even having been referred to as a “Secular Talmud.” Celebrating the new exhibition of the art of MAD, this event will feature curator-led tours and a panel situating MAD in the context of Jewish cultural expression – exploring its contemporary reinventions through the creative work of HUC-JIR alumni and students.
