The program follows the Federation's "Older Adult Kosher Hot Meal Program" held at Congregation Knesset Israel, 16 Colt Road, Pittsfield.
Abramson noted that she developed the "Project" under the auspices of the Berkshire South Regional Community Center in Great Barrington, and the endeavor is supported by the Wassermann-Streit Y'DIYAH Memorial Fund.
Inter-generational, the Project was organized to study the history, culture, and the impact of Jewish Heritage in the world, through conversations between Berkshire Jewish community elders and youth that are intended to kindle curiosity, learning and sharing while encouraging a closer stronger community.

At 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires will sponsor the program "Strategies for Renewed Peace with Family and Friends: Releasing Past Pain, Embracing Present Love," with Beverly Banov Brown in an informal program that encourages audience members to share their insights.
Free and open to the public, Brown's presentation will be held at Congregation Knesset Israel, 16 Colt Road, Pittsfield following the "Older Adult Kosher Hot Meal Program."
Explaining her insights, Brown contended: No matter what the problem seems to be, when we look at it more closely there are old beliefs, which possibly served as survival mechanisms that are now hindering the person's freedom to progress. If our need to feel acknowledged and loved is thwarted, fear results. It is this underlying fear which recreates difficulties within ourselves and in our ability to deal with others."
