A presentation of its "South County Lunch Program," at 10:45 a.m. on Friday, February 26, the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires will sponsor "Sharing the Stories of Special Places," an illustrated talk with Tammis Coffin, Education and Outreach Coordinator with The Trustees of Reservations."
The program, which is free and open to the public, will be held at Hevreh of Southern Berkshire, 270 State Road, Great Barrington, and will be followed at noon by a catered buffet lunch, at $5, featuring vegetable tomato lasagna, tossed salad, garlic bread and chocolate brownies.
Coffin will introduce twelve historic and scenic gems in the Berkshires - from Williamstown's "The Folly at Field Farm" to Ashintully Gardens" in Tyringham - and emphasize current community outreach activities and volunteer opportunities at the Mission House in Stockbridge, Monument Mountain in Great Barrington, and Sheffield's Ashley House."

At 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires will sponsor the program "Directions in Modern Astrology," with Doris Albrecht.
Free and open to the public, Albrecht's presentation will be held at Congregation Knesset Israel, 16 Colt Road, Pittsfield, following the Federation sponsored "Older Adult Kosher Hot Meal Program," which has a $2 suggested donation. Reservations required by 9 a.m.
Albrecht, will give an overview of the directions of modern astrology and discuss how its study can illuminate the understanding of personality, relationships, and the unfolding of unique life paths.

At 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 11 and 18, the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires presents "Music, Memories, and the Stories Within," a reflection of the ability of the mind to be transported by memories of melodies to times long ago.

White's two-part interactive series will explore the often overlooked role that music plays in our everyday lives, and will examine how song can shape remembrances and memoirs.
